01Data Collection
TimeCaster does not collect or store personal information on any server we control. We have no user accounts or registration, no databases of user activity, and no advertising or behavioral profiling. We do not sell or share personal data. What you search for and how you use the app stays between you and your browser.
02Third-Party Services
TimeCaster relies on two outside services:
- Open-Meteo. Weather and time data is fetched in real time from the Open-Meteo API. When you search for a location, that search is sent to Open-Meteo so it can return matching weather and time information. As with any web request, Open-Meteo may technically see standard connection details such as your IP address. We don't receive, store, or control that data. Open-Meteo's own policies govern how it handles requests.
- Cloudflare. TimeCaster is secured and optimized through Cloudflare DNS and security services. Cloudflare may process basic traffic information, such as IP addresses, and use essential security technologies to protect the site from abuse and keep it fast. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.
We don't use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
03Local Storage
TimeCaster saves a few things directly in your browser using Local Storage and Session Storage, such as:
- Preferences like performance mode and brightness settings
- Temporary session cache to keep the app quick
This data lives only on your device. It is never uploaded to a remote server and we can't see it. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site data settings. Doing so simply resets the app to its defaults.
04Updates and Contact
If we change how TimeCaster handles data, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Because we keep things simple, we expect changes to be rare. Questions? Contact us at [email protected].
